To me politics is a vicious game centered on blasphemy, lewdness, indignity, mud-slinging and anything else one wants to call it just to get votes and I don’t buy it in the least.
During election time people become different — their tongues get long, and their fangs grow sharp — being offensive and pitting out uncouth remarks is all a part of the game so don’t take it to hear, it’s in the chemistry that comprises the human mind. I, myself, personally have no hard feelings toward anyone who has a voice.
Centuries ago the elections were solved with swords spears and gunpowder.
Today. because we are civilized, we aim at our target with words — nasty words.
Mr. Clark is a fine gentleman, a teacher, a minister, and he is very wise.
I admire him greatly because he has the courage to speak his mind.
Because his remarks showed some hell and damnation; it got you puckered but don’t take it personally — Mr. Clark meant no harm.
Sit back, have a cup of coffee or anything else you like — read the unjust editorials and have a good laugh. This is better than the funny papers.
When all of this is over and the people recoil and go back to their original mold, we will be one happy town. We will all like each other again.
By the way — don’t forget to vote — rationalize, use your better judgment. It works every time.
