Letter to the Editor: Trail needs help

Last week I was looking for the Riverfront Trail and found it. My approach was the downtown entrance.

In choosing the route I decided on an eastward direction.

The first part of the trail was wonderful. I enjoyed the area to the utmost. The map from the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center indicated a trial was present all the way to the Washington-Oregon bridge.

Part of the trail became almost impassable due to overgrown grasses and berry bushes. These obstructions made the trail one I will avoid until a change is made.

My hope is this trail can be made more useful with a good cleanup. More signage and better directions are needed.
