Letter to the editor: Hurrah, Dooley

Her dedication and commitment to this library have not only kept it open during hard times, but have made it possible to see improvements along the way. Of special note is the construction of the mezzanine and the formation of the Library District, enabling this entity to remain vibrant and relevant in an ever evolving age of technology.

Preschool Story-time, Teen Game Day, Movies at the Library, and Heritage Quest Online are just a few of the offerings in this busy Library District.

The Room to Read library expansion project, under her leadership, has raised nearly $100,000 to pay for construction of 7,422 square feet in added meeting and service space.

We have been very fortunate to have Sheila working quietly and steadily for our Library for her entire career. She deserves a standing ovation.
