Letter to the Editor: Help stop bullying

The problem is bullying. My 8-year-old grandson is a victim in one of our elementary schools. He is being bullied by an 11-year-old boy. He has been bullied and tormented at school and on the bus by this boy for two years. Yes, two years!

The problem has been brought to the school system’s attention to no avail. He is pushed, slapped, pinched and punched by this other child. Yes, the bully is only a child also. We need to take this seriously, before it becomes an even more serious problem.

The boy bullying evidently needs help. That’s how we can start is to get this child help to see why he is bullying, before someone is hurt or more seriously injured.

My grandson wants to be home-schooled now. But my question is, who will be the bully’s next victim? Your son or daughter? Your grandson or niece or nephew? Please, let’s nip this in the bud now.
