To the editor:
Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh is not a man I would be comfortable with having on our Supreme Court. This is a man who appears to be more concerned with the rule of Kavanaugh, than the rule of the land. An individual who is unafraid to twist and contort the words of law makers past and present. There is no hesitation whatsoever, to distort and avoid the questions of the House judiciary committee.
Truly this is a dark day for our democracy. Our publicly elected officials intend to submit to partisan politics and place into our highest court an individual who is so ingrained in agenda that he would effectively perjure himself in order to gain this lifetime appointment. I’m sure that in his blurred view of the world, any means are justified. Given of course that he no doubt aims to protect and uphold the word of God almighty.
This kind of a man likely has little to offer in the form of compassion or understanding. Despite his words of assurance, it is painfully obvious that he has indeed lived in an elitist bubble all his life. He believes that he has a feel for the average man because he serves food at a soup kitchen, and tutors disadvantaged children in his spare time. It’s pretty obvious that he sees importance in pity, but does he see through that, and understand that people also deserve respect? I doubt it. He doesn’t appear to even respect our laws. But maybe that’s simply because he answers to a higher power…
