I’d like to send out a big THANK YOU to Fort Dalles Rodeo Association for once again, hosting a spectacular rodeo here in The Dalles! It was amazing to watch the Fort Dalles Rodeo Association and its many volunteers come together to provide fun, family entertainment for our community. It is encouraging to see so many organizations come out to support the event.
I saw volunteers from ACTS, Wonderworks, Safeway, MCMC, the Chamber and many, many more. I haven’t seen any official numbers, but it seemed like the entire city was there.
The Mid-Columbia Health Foundation is touched by the Fort Dalles Rodeo Association’s generosity and spirit of community. For the sixth year in a row, they are donating their “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” dollars to the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation’s Breast Health for Strong Families Program.
A tremendous thank you to Barbara Pizzola, the Fort Dalles Rodeo Association director who coordinates this effort. The Breast Health for Strong Families Program has provided nearly 300 free screening mammograms to local women resulting in five breast cancer diagnoses. Donations from the Fort Dalles Rodeo Association directly benefit these women and we can’t say thank you enough!
