An audition for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Sleeping Beauty will be held Monday, June 15 at The Dalles High School from 10 a.m. to noon. All those auditioning should arrive at 9:30 a.m. and plan to stay for the entire two hours. The play will be performed on Saturday, June 20, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Dalles High School.
There is a $25 tuition fee. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.
Among the roles to be cast are Sleeping Beauty, Scarella, Madame Butterfly, the King, the Queen, Spot, Fairies, Tolls, Palace Attendants and Caterpillars.
Students entering first grade through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary.
Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. Rehearsals are scheduled throughout the week, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.
Sleeping Beauty will be presented on Saturday, June 20, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Dalles High School. Ticket prices are $5 adults, $3 seniors and students.
