Wasco County has updated and reopened its COVID-19 Emergency Business Grant program to support businesses impacted by the county's move to the Extreme Risk Category on April 30. Funds were provided by the State of Oregon. Grants will be made based on the number of employees between 0 and 50, with award amounts ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. Small businesses (under 25 employees) over a year old and those most impacted will be prioritized for resources.

Mid-Columbia Economic Development District is working with the county to administer these funds. Visit mcedd.org/bizgrants for additional details. Applications are being taken online or can be submitted via email to bizgrants@mcedd.org or mail/hand deliver to MCEDD at 802 Chenowith Loop Road, The Dalles, OR 97058. Applications must be submitted by May 16 for consideration. Contact bizgrants@mcedd.org or Jacque (541-296-2266 x 1006) with questions.
