THE DALLES — “Kaleidoscopia” is a visual meditation through the abstract image concoctions of artists Brielle Lefebvre and Jason Breeden. Their imagery emerges from a collaboration between the conscious and subconcious, resulting in a layered symbolism of our micro and macro worlds.
Please join us for the opening of “Kaleidoscopia” from 5-7 p.m. on June 4 at The Dalles Art Center. Guests are invited to meet the artists, explore the exhibition’s immersive visual landscapes, listen to curated records, and celebrate the launch of this vibrant exploration of pattern and perception.
Lefebvre (born 1981, Plainfield, NJ) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice weaves together her deep love for textile and pattern design with expressive painting on raw canvas and woven works on paper. Her work bridges material and myth, drawing on natural forms such as rocks, fossils, and plants to explore the intersections of memory, matter, and meaning. Brielle lives and works in Lyle, WA.
Breeden (b. in San Francisco) is an abstract artist currently based in the Columbia River Gorge. Breeden has lived and shown work in Vancouver BC, New York City, Stockholm, Sweden, San Francisco, Portland, Copenhagen, Denmark, and now in Lyle. Works include paintings, mixed media collages and a lot of big ink and pen drawings on paper.
