SKAMANIA CO. — Pride returns to the Columbia River Gorge with a full day of celebration, visibility, and community on Saturday, June 8 in downtown Stevenson, Washington.
Now in its third year, Skamania Pride is growing in impact and attendance — with 150 participants in 2023 and over 250 in 2024, according to a press release. Organizers are expecting even more attendees in 2025 as the event expands its programming and community partnerships.
This year features keynote speaker Asia Wisecarver, a 2000 Stevenson High School graduate who now serves as Executive Director of Playworks Pacific Northwest and General Manager of the Oregon Ravens, a professional women’s football team. Asia is a former women’s tackle football player, coach, and mentor who has been honored with the 2025 She Flies Community Award by Sport Oregon and named to the Portland Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” “Her leadership in equity, sports, and youth mentorship reflects the heart of Pride,” read the release.
Asia will also be Parade Grand Marshal.
Parade begins at the Stevenson Exhibit Hall, proceeds down Rock Creek Drive to Highway 14, circles around the Stevenson Community Library, and returns via Vancouver Avenue.
