The new exhibit “River Stories,” handwoven tapestries by Kristie Strasen, is open at the Columbia Gorge Museum through August 31. The museum is at 990 SW Rock Creek Drive, Stevenson and www.columbiagorgemuseum.org. In fiber, Strasen explores “the profound impact of the rivers that shape the Columbia River, highlighting their ecological importance, cultural significance, and the ongoing struggle for conservation and Native sovereignty,” according to the museum’s webpage.
