The following charges resulted in arrests: DUII (one), forgery (one), mischief (one), theft (one), warrant (two).
Notable incidents
Three vehicle crashes, one with minor injuries. Locations were 12th near Brookside, First Street near Sinclaire gas, and intersection of 12th / Pacific Avenue.
Two reports of unlawful entry into vehicles. In one, a rear vehicle window was shattered and multiple items valued at $1,800 stolen.
A DUII arrest. Officers charged a non-resident with DUII - alcohol and criminal mischief; they gave a blood alcohol level of 0.18% and also got four citations.
Officers stopped a vehicle for running a red light, gave three citations, and towed the vehicle.
A shoplifting report.
The Dalles Police, Dec. 27 - Jan. 3
The following charges resulted in arrests: DUII (two), “multiple charges” (one), improper use of 911 (one), mischief (one), reckless driving (one), warrant (six).
Notable incidents
Five mental health calls.
Fifteen animal calls. Dogs neglected, at-large, trespassing, getting pepper-sprayed for alleged aggression, barking, lost, hit by train...
Two theft reports. Wallet, iPad.
Fraud report, in which a person lost $18,000.
Three warrant arrests. One person was arrested at taser point Dec. 27 near W. Sixth.
Three hit-and-run reports. Locations were Court Street, Fred Meyer. On Dec. 31, a truck knocked over a barricade on Seventh.
A DUII arrest. One driver was cited and released after multiple callers reported their vehicle hit a parked car, stopping in a yard on Mt. Hood Street Dec. 27.
Someone tore down a street sign on Dry Hollow.
A residence on W. Second Street burned, after power went out and a lit candle caught shower curtains on fire.
A structure fire on Pleasant Court started around noon on Dec. 30, near the door. MCFR responded and the fire was put out.
Jan. 1, a small black car wrecked on Second Street. The driver was cited and released for DUII.
Jan. 1, a Nissan crashed into a concessions stand at Kramer Field around 3:30 p.m. MCFR also responded; the driver was arrested for a warrant and other charges, the vehicle towed. Park authorities wrapped the busted, leaning concessions stand in caution tape.
Jan. 2, a rockslide blocked E. Second between the I-85 exit bridge and Hiway House; ODOT also responded to clear the hazard. Officers provided traffic control.

Oregon State Police, Dec. 27 - Jan. 2
The following charges resulted in arrests: Assault public safety office (one), DUII (three), fail to report as sex offender (two), false information (one), mischief (one), obstructing government administration (one), reckless driving (one), warrant (two).
Notable incidents
Seven non-injury crashes. Dec. 27, a semi drifted over in I-84 and swiped an Audi. Dec. 31, a Kia collided with a box trailer on I-84. Jan. 1, a Kenworth semi-truck lost control on icy Hwy 97 and crashed into the southbound ditch, rolled and damaged a fence.
Jan. 2, a Honda CRV lost control on slush, on the shoulder of I-84 near eastbound milepost 62. The driver sideswiped the right barrier, crossed eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into the concrete median. Three concrete median sections were displaced.
Jan. 2, two vehicles crashed on I-84 near milepost 92 westbound, after one left its lane in watery slush. Also Jan. 2, a single westbound pickup lost control on snowy I-84 near milepost 91 and damaged a guardrail.
Also Jan. 2, an eastbound pickup lost control on wet slush near I-84 milepost 81 and rolled through the roadside, stopping about 50 feet from the shoulder. Jan. 3, a northbound Chevy Equinox rolled on icy Hwy 97 near milepost 67 northbound, spun out, and rolled on the northbound shoulder. The driver was transported for minor injuries.
