Hood River Police, Nov. 24 - 30
The following are crimes which resulted in arrests: DUII (two), reckless driving (one), reckless endangering (one), trespass (two), warrant (two).
Notable incidents
Two DUII arrests, both on Thanksgiving day. In one, a Hood River resident was arrested on charges of DUII - alcohol, after going the wrong way on I-84 and colliding with the concrete barrier. A later breath test revealed a blood alcohol level almost three times the legal limit of 0.08%.
Two warrant arrests.
Two trespass arrests. Both involved the same transient person at Walmart.
Two vehicle crashes. Nov. 29, two vehicles near Oak/Ninth collided and one passenger reported injuries. Nov. 27, two-vehicle non-injury crash.
A theft report; cellphone from Adventure Lodge.
A report of vehicle arson was forwarded to a detective for more investigation.
Officers were dispatched to five welfare checks, two at the same location within a few days.
A felony hit-and-run, Nov. 26, near Page Paint Company.
The Dalles Police, Nov. 27 - Dec. 4
The following are crimes which resulted in arrests: Assault (one), fail to report as sex offender (one), drug-related (one), possession of controlled substance (two), trespass (one), warrant (six).
Notable incidents
Mental health calls, 118.
Three ID thefts.
Twenty-two animal calls. Dogs at large, barking, attacking animals/people; cat stuck in the ceiling.
Three crash reports. Nov. 28, eastbound motorcycle on 10th Street went through the stop sign at Kelly Avenue, hit retaining wall. Driver transported with broken leg. Dec. 1, SUV into ditch on Fourth. Dec. 3, southbound Carolla on Hostetler failed to yield at stop sign and hit Chevrolet; both required tows.
Nov. 28, two warned for intoxicated play fighting causing public disturbance on Walnut Street.
Nov. 28, Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue requested law enforcement assistance on a possible arson on Lone Pine Drive.
Nov. 29, same person was arrested twice for telephonic harassment after calling Metcom every 30 seconds, 103 times in one night, including during a vehicle pursuit of them by Metcom.
Drug items from Sixth Street disposed of safely.
Nine thefts. Items from vehicle, airpods, credit card, wallet, tool-shed break-in, city property on 12th Street, clothing, two new carpets. Dec. 2, fireplace from outside ice-cream shop on Fourth.
Nov. 30, illegal dumping investigated on W. Fifteenth and Alberta.
Three hit-and-run reports.
Dec. 3, RV stolen from Heritage Way.
Wasco County Sheriff, Nov. 29 - Dec. 4
Notable incidents
Deputies logged 45 vehicle stops.
Five vehicle crashes. Fairgrounds Rd., Chenowith Creek Rd. (two), State Road, Hwy 197/Shadybrook.
Five dogs, two animals.
An assault.
A burglary on Hwy 30.

Oregon State Police, Nov. 27 - Dec. 6
The following are crimes which resulted in arrests: Driving while suspended or revoked (one), DUII (three), mischief (one), possession of methamphetamine (one), restraining order violation (one), unlawful possession of firearm (one), warrant (three).
Notable incidents
Three intoxicated drivers arrested for DUII after stops for traffic violations (two) or single-vehicle crashes (one).
Four non-injury crashes. Nov. 28, Highway 30, milepost 68, eastbound Hyundai hit tree. Driver left the scene, could not be located. Dec. 3, grain pup-trailer overturned after sliding on ice near milepost 17, SR-19. Dec. 3, passing vehicle swiped two semi-trucks near milepost 35 northbound, Highway 97. Dec. 5, single-vehicle rollover found by ODOT on icy Hwy 97.
One hit-and-run. Nov. 30, I-84 milepost 84, an eastbound Subaru Impreza struck a Toyota Tundra and left the scene.
After a traffic stop in The Dalles Dec. 1, two buck deer were seized for unlawful importation of cervid parts into Oregon. The hunters, who were unaware of the law were allowed to cut off the antlers.
Debris flew from a garbage truck on I-84, damaging a windshield.
Deer poached on private property, near 4800 block of McCoy Rd., gut pile left Dec. 4.
A driver, stopped for speeding on I-84 near milepost 63 eastbound Dec. 4, was taken into custody for a criminal mischief warrant, and charged also with possession of a concealed firearm and 13.4 grams methamphetamine after a vehicle search.
Trooper stopped a car for speeding on I-84, and seized some unlawful marijuana products from California for destruction. Drive cited for import/export marijuana.
