Gorge Owned (GO!) welcomes community members to its first ever GOvember Party and Fundraiser on Fri., Nov. 14 at Springhouse Cellar in Hood River, 13 Railroad St.
“With the busy summer behind us and the holiday season quickly approaching, GOvember is a way to celebrate a fabulous year for local economic development, environmental victories and community investment,” says GO! Director Lindsay Miller.
The event is also an opportunity for community members to learn more about Gorge Owned, a 501.c.3 nonprofit with a mission to create a strong local economy, a healthy environment and a vibrant community in the Gorge.
“Gorge Owned relies on the support of its members and supporters to deliver its programs,” Miller says. “We hope GOvember will become an annual fundraiser to support the Sense of Place lecture series, Gorge Green Drinks, GO! Local, GO! Solar, Clean Energy Works, the Tod J. LeFevre Sustainability Awards and other core programs.”
The GOvember Party includes food catered by GO! Sustaining Member Solstice Wood Fire Cafe and Bar, locally crafted beverages, and music from local bluegrass favorite The Shed Shakers. Doors open at 6:00 pm. and music starts at 7:30 pm.
Attendees can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win unique packages from GO! member businesses. Plus, the first 20 people to join Gorge Owned will receive a free T-shirt.
Admission for the GOvember Party is $20, which includes food, music and a 10 percent discount on GO! membership. Purchase tickets at gorgeowned.org/govember or the night of the event at the door. Springhouse Cellar is a family-friendly venue.
