SALEM — Rep. Mark Johnson, R-Hood River, co-carried House Bill 4058 on the House Floor. HB 4058 amends the 40-40-20 educational goals to include apprenticeship programs registered with the State Apprenticeship Training Council.

Currently, the “middle 40 percent; primarily recognizes associate degrees. This bill promotes an alternative pathway to college-specific training, growth of family-wage jobs, and encourages employers to become active participants in job training and education, Johnson said in a press release.
