HOOD RIVER — The Hood River community will again come together in celebration as the fourth annual Hood River Pride Celebration returns June 5-6, with a weekend of vibrant, inclusive events honoring the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. A collaboration between Visit Hood River, the Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance, The Next Door Inc., and the Hood River Hotel, the celebration reflects Hood River’s continued commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive community for all.
From family-friendly festivities and community gatherings to drag performances and comedy shows, Pride invites residents and visitors to celebrate individuality, connection, and belonging in the heart of Hood River.
“Pride in Hood River is about more than a weekend of events. It’s about showing up for one another and creating a community where people feel safe, valued, and celebrated exactly as they are, “ said Hood River Mayor Paul Blackburn. “This celebration reflects the spirit of Hood River and the many people and organizations working year-round to foster inclusivity, kindness, and belonging throughout the Gorge.”
“Hood River Pride continues to grow because this community continues to show up with openness, compassion, and support,” said Katie Kadlub, CEO of Visit Hood River. “We are proud to help create spaces where people can gather, celebrate, and feel a genuine sense of belonging, and we’re grateful to the organizations, businesses, volunteers, and attendees who make this celebration possible each year.”
The schedule includes a variety of pride-themed activities in downtown Hood River on Friday and Saturday, June 5-6. For more information, visit www.visithoodriver.com.
