The Next Door’s Foster Parent Recruiter, Amy Lindley, will host an informational open house on Monday, Oct. 19 and Monday, Oct. 26 from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided and registration is appreciated. “What it Takes to Become a Foster Parent” will be held at the Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue, 1400 W. 8th, The Dalles.

Participants will learn more about the rewards and challenges of being professional foster parents. By the end of the event, participants will be prepared to make a decision about pursuing this rewarding career.
