Columbia High SchoolJohn Hallead recognition — Columbia High School (CHS) educator John Hallead was recently named Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).
Each year, NSHSS student members nominate educators who have made a significant impact on their academic journey. The award honors teachers whose passion and dedication inspire students to grow as scholars, leaders, and citizens.
“John Hallead exemplifies the spirit of Columbia High School through his unwavering dedication to our students,” said CHS Principal Craig McKee. “As a physical education teacher, he not only fosters strong relationships in the classroom but also extends his commitment to excellence by coaching our athletic teams, including football and boys basketball. His multifaceted contributions have significantly enriched our school community, and we are immensely proud to have him as part of the Bruin family.”
