HOOD RIVER — U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo has announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2 million grant to the Port of Hood River, for utilities and transportation infrastructure improvements.

This grant will increase the port’s capacity and boost its ability to serve regional businesses. This EDA investment, to be matched with $1.7 million in local funds, is expected to create seven jobs and generate $390,000 in private investment, according to grantee estimates.
