Trisha WalkerB Gorge-us Boutique, located at 416 Oak Street in the Oak Mall in downtown Hood River, is open for business.
Owner Bertha Logsdon opened the new boutique in July, which is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for the holiday season.
“We want to cater to locals, not just to tourists,” said Logsdon. “Our prices are very affordable, but with the quality you need.”
Logsdon carries a variety of clothing and accessories, including jewelry from Gorge artists Charlene Fort and Stephanie Johnston, who work with glass and beads. Logsdon also carries her own handcrafted jewelry line consisting of beads and silver clay.
Purses, scarves, gloves and hats round out the product line, some of which is imported from Ecuador.
Gandara Alterations, owned by Yolanda Gandara Ortiz, is also housed in the B Gorge-us Boutique, having recently moved from its previous Heights location. Gandara Ortiz offers both alterations and custom sewing.

On Saturday, Nov. 21, B Gorge-us Boutique, Gandara Alterations and Yesi’s Beauty Salon will host a grand opening celebration from 3-6 p.m. A variety of finger foods will be served, and a drawing will be held at the boutique each hour beginning at 4 p.m.; must be present to win. Logsdon said the boutique will also be offering discounts at the register.
