The Dalles girls continue winning ways

THE DALLES — The No. 7-ranked Class 4A The Dalles High Riverhawks (10-2) won their final nonleague girls basketball game, 53-44, over the Class 5A Mountain View High Cougars (5-9) Jan. 15 at The Dalles High School.

After winning five of their past six games, the Riverhawks had momentum to begin their 10-game Tri-Valley Conference schedule on Jan. 21 versus the Crook County High Cowgirls (5-9) in Prineville. The Riverhawks have lost three straight games versus Crook County over the past two seasons. The last time the Riverhawks beat the Cowgirls was on Jan. 17, 2023, in a 47-36 home win.
