Elma defeats Bruin girls soccer, 3-0

Elma (3-1) added a goal late in the first half and scored the match clincher in the 70th minute. Beta Valentine scored two of the Elma goals and assisted on the other.

Columbia (1-1) started a busy stretch to its season Tuesday, when the Bruins were to have played the first of four matches in eight days. Columbia was scheduled to play at Tenino on Sept. 20 (result was after the printed edition deadline) and the Bruins are at Stevenson on Thursday. Both of those contests are slated for 7 p.m. starts. Columbia hosts King’s Way on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Castle Rock at 6 p.m. on Sept. 27.
