The Hood River Valley High Eagles started their 2024 boys soccer season with a 1-0 loss to visiting Lincoln High of Portland.

The Eagles, 13-5 a year ago and the Class 5A runner-up, hosted the Cardinals, a 6A state quarterfinal team in 2023. The Eagles were scheduled to play at 6A Mountainside in Beaverton on Sept. 3 and at 6A Sandy on Sept. 5.
