HOOD RIVER — The Hood River Valley High Eagles kept their state playoffs hopes alive with a 3-1 Northwest Oregon Conference (NWOC) home volleyball win Oct. 9 over the Parkrose High Broncos (1-9 NWOC, 1-15 overall).

Hood River (4-6 NWOC, 6-10 overall) played in a tournament Oct. 12 at Seaside High School and lost a nonleague match 2-0 to the Class 4A North Bend High Bulldogs (10-6). The Eagles have six games remaining on their NWOC schedule, including an Oct. 15, road contest versus the Hillsboro High Spartans (0-10 NWOC, 3-16 overall).
