Pendleton, Oregon — Wildhorse Resort & Casino announced today the 2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic, an Epson Tour — Road to the LPGA event, will feature more than 140 professional golfers from around the world as they compete for a slot on the LPGA tour in 2025. It will feature tour leaders Jessica Porvasnik, Fiona Xu, and Lauren Stephenson — as well as the 2022 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic winner Daniela Iacobelli.

Now in its third year, the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic is an event on the official qualifying tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). It will take place in Pendleton, Oregon from August 16-18, 2024. In the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card, players earn points at twenty tour events, with fifteen LPGA Tour Membership slots awarded to the top golfers. Current race leader Jessica Porvasnik from Hinckley, Ohio played collegiate golf at the Ohio State University before joining the Tour. Also competing at the 2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic are top five tour leaders Fiona Xu, Lauren Stephenson, Daniela Iacobelli, and Cassie Porter. Iacobelli won the local event in 2022.
Xu trails the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card leader by less than 100 points. The 19-year-old golfer from New Zealand is in her rookie year on the Tour. She won the 2024 Copper Rock Championship in Hurricane, Utah with a Tour record of -22. Rounding out the current top three, Stephenson played collegiate golf at Clemson University and the University of Alabama. She was a member of the 2018 U.S. Curtis Cup and Arnold Palmer Cup teams and has made over 100 starts on the LPGA Tour, including the 2016 and 2017 U.S. Women’s Open as an amateur. Stephenson won the 2024 Twin Bridges Championship in Albany, New York to secure her first professional win earlier this season.
Additional players ranked in the Tour’s top ten who will be competing in Pendleton this weekend include: Kim Kaufman, Madison Young, Brooke Matthews, and Soo Bin Joo. The 2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic also features two Pacific Northwest natives, Haley Greb and Gabby Lemieux. A Pendleton local, Haley Greb was a member of the Pendleton High School golf team before joining the University of Tulsa women’s golf team. Gabby Lemieux grew up in Idaho and attended Texas Tech University, where she was ranked No. 1 in the country. She is the first Native American women’s professional golfer in the U.S.
Tickets to attend the 2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic are on sale for as low as $5 a day and $10 for a five-day event pass. Kids 12 years and younger can attend the event for free and all children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Tee times for the 2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic are 7:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The tournament’s trophy presentation will take place at the 18th hole on Sunday, immediately following the final round. Food and beverages are available to purchase and public parking is available at the Wildhorse Blvd. Field Parking Lot, with shuttle service to the course throughout the day.
