The annual Kiwanis Club Steak Feed returns to Sorosis Park Sept. 5.
Contributed photoTHE DALLES — The Dalles Kiwanis Club hosts its annual Steak Feed Thursday, Sept. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Sorosis Park. The Steak Feed is the club’s major fundraiser for community projects serving children and youth.
“The end-of-summer / start-of-fall event started in the 1950s and welcomes the whole community to a delicious and locally sourced steak dinner and an opportunity to renew friendly connections,” said a press release.
Adult meals include an eight ounce sirloin steak, baked potato, coleslaw, roll, dessert and drink for $20. The free meal for children 12 and under features a hot dog, potato chips, drink and ice cream. There will be activities for children and musical entertainment.
Tickets are available from Kiwanis members or may be purchased at the event. Tickets are also available online at www.thedalleskiwanis.org/steak-feed.
