Hawks Ridge Assisted Living residents entered a variety of arts and crafts in the Hood River County Fair, held July 26-29 at the fairgrounds in Odell. Pictured is Cathy. Everyone earned a ribbon, and items are also sold at the center, 1795 Eighth St. The projects entered were products of the center’s SPARK program, which “provides meaningful and life-enhancing experiences for members of our Assisted Living community,” said a press release. “Our unique program engages our residents with proven strategies that strive to heighten interaction, optimize cognitive skills, as well as promote a sense of purpose and accomplishment.” Residents and staff offered a special thank you to Kim Vogel for her help. For more information about the SPARK Program, call 541-387-4087 or Email activities@hawksridgeassistedliving.com.
