The Mt. Hood Town Hall board is gearing up for an exciting project on the horizon and would like the community to share their thoughts about it by filling out an online questionnaire.
As part of the effort to restore the Town Hall by the 100th anniversary of the building coming up in 2014, the board is hoping to significantly improve the playground area on the grounds.
The survey asks residents questions such as: What children’s ages should the playground equipment be geared toward? Should other projects be included other than the playground, and if so, what?
Hood River County and the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District are adding their efforts to the Mt. Hood Town Hall Association’s, to apply for grants to make the project possible.

If you are looking for a way to beat the winter blues, you might want to consider taking classes at the Mt. Hood Town Hall.
Each week classes in Tai Chi for Balance, Yoga, and Earthworks pottery classes are available.
In addition, the Mt. Hood Town Hall board is always looking for members of the community who would like to teach their own classes

The Mt. Hood Town Hall board would like to remind the community that their input is always welcome at board meetings.
The board meets every second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. and visitors are always welcome.

The Parkdale Skate Club is now in full swing at the Parkdale Elementary School gym each Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m.
Skating sessions will be ongoing through the end of March.
Members of the community are invited to come out with their kids and enjoy a night of skating fun.

Parkdale Elementary School is sponsoring a penny drive until the end of January to raise money for PTO projects that help the students.
Everyone is asked to please send their extra pennies to school, or drop them by the office during school hours.

Another Movie Night will be held in the Parkdale School library on Friday, Jan. 25.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the family movie will start at 6:30 p.m.
Though the event is free, donations are welcome.
