Sept. 22 will be the reopening date for Hood River Children’s Park, at 9th and Eugene streets.

As the Children’s Park Rebuild draws near, a gap of $35,000 in donation funding could result in park plan modifications, most significantly the elimination of rubberized Poured-In-Place playground surfacing.

Hood River Children’s Park closed April 22 and by April 23, removal of the play structure was in full force. In this photo, the last portion stands on Wednesday morning.
