“We felt it was important that whatever we did it was the first thing people know of us,” said frontman and founder Andrew Supina of the decision to include the free workshop. “We wanted to make sure it was understood that we really did feel like we were ‘one from many’. That their support mattered.”
Earlier this year, One From Many released its debut full-length album, which earned a clever fan nickname that stuck, “The Alleged Album,” because it was several years in the making.
No longer “alleged,” but a very real, 13-track blast of melodic, guitar driven alt-rock premiered June 11 and the band released a single and video of the song “Retrospective.”
Recorded at Seattle’s London Bridge Studio, where such iconic albums as Pearl Jam’s “Ten” and Soundgarden’s “Louder than Love” were tracked, The Alleged Album was engineered by Geoff Ott (3 Doors Down, Alice In Chains, Nickelback, Blake Lewis) and produced by Rob Daiker, whose credits include Katy Perry, The Fame Riot and Royal Bliss.
Supina describes his own relationship with music.
“For me there is no greater reward for my time, effort and resources than to connect with and help others,” he said.
In OFM’s earlier incarnation as FarCry, they opened for Everclear, 3 Days Grace, and more.
