Mt Hood

Always dressed in a fine gown to match the season.

In the Spring, she wears a pastel print

When the sunrise and sunset turn her snow

To soft peach, aqua and blue.

In the Summer, as her cloak of white begins to melt,

Her glaciers become a vivid blue

And her lava dust turns to shades of grey.

The new snows of September

That cloak her to the tree line

Turn her into a lady in an elegant

White ball gown,

While the full moon turns that

Gown into blue velvet.

The Fall rains mist her in gossamer veils

And as Winter progresses, she hides behind

A heavy coat of grey wool.
