It’s Blossom Fest time! The Blossom Craft Show and Quilt Show takes place at the Hood River County Fairgrounds April 19-20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. A wide variety of Northwest vendors — at last count, 120 — will be on site, featuring art, crafts, garden art, home furnishings and decorations, photographs, gourmet food products, jewelry, clothing, plants and more.

The Odell Garden Club holds its sale in the Community Building on April 19, selling a variety of shrubs, trees and perennials. This annual event raises funds for the Hood River Valley High senior party, 4-H scholarships and several state projects, including Penny Pines for Oregon (reforests land burned by forest fires) and the Oregon Gardens Children’s Garden (funds field trips for fifth-grade students).
The Hood River Valley High School FFA club will also have a selection of plants for sale from its greenhouse both Saturday and Sunday, as will TK Nursery with rhododendrons and azaleas.
The Blossom Fest Quilt Show will be held in the Floral Building and feature more than 100 homemade quilts, many of which will be for sale. And be sure to look for both the Special Olympics fundraising booth, usually located in the Community Building, and the Hood River Art Club, whose show will be held in the gym area. There’s even a Ranch Sorting event scheduled on Saturday in the closed barn beginning at 10 a.m.

The Pine Grove-Odell United Methodist Church will celebrate Palm Sunday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at the Pine Grove church. Coffee hour will follow. Maudy Thursday (April 17) service begins at 6:30 p.m., also at the Pine Grove church.
The Methodists will host an open house and bake sale April 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pine Grove church. The bake sale will benefit Meals on Wheels; crafts and vintage treasures, including china and Depression glass, will also be sold.
And finally, Easter services will be held April 20 at 10 a.m. at the Odell Church.
