The Diamonds in Concert Sept. 28
Mark your calendar for Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., when the 1950’s world famous rock and roll group The Diamonds will be on the The Dalles Wahtonka High School stage to perform songs like Little Darlin', Silhouttes, The Stroll (all three are Gold Records) and more, plus songs of other great artists that appeared on American Bandstand.
The durability of The Diamonds’ shows this classic rock and roll music is as much about the future as it is about the past. “We’ve been pleased to find a growing audience among all age groups. They love songs they can understand, remember and actually sing the words to, today, tomorrow, or even 20 years from now.” They have toured and performed in England, Ireland, Brazil, Chile, Korea, Japan and all across the United States.

‘Edge’ author visits The Dalles
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, award-winning author Roland Smith will be visiting Klindt’s Booksellers in The Dalles to launch his latest book, “The Edge.” Smith’s new title is the much-anticipated sequel to “Peak,” his critically acclaimed tale of a 14-year boy old attempting to climb Everest. Smith will read excerpts and discuss his book. Readers will have the chance to meet Roland Smith, get autographed books, and learn more about his inspiration for both novels.
