The Oregon Mandolin Orchestra (OMO) will perform a concert at Riverside Community Church, 317 State St., on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
The Portland-based orchestra of about 30 musicians is directed by Brian Oberlin. The program will consist of classical, folk, Italian, and other genres. This is the OMO’s first tour, which will conclude in Pendleton the following evening, Feb. 27.
Ticket will be available at the door, and will be $15 for students and seniors and $20 for adults.
Lenten events at St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1501 Belmont Ave., has two reoccurring Lenten events open to all: Monday Soup Suppers and Friday Stations of the Cross.
Soup Suppers run from 6-7 p.m. Mondays through March 21 in the church basement. It’s a time to share a meal and fellowship with friends. Bread and soups are provided by different church groups.
Stations of the Cross begins at 3 p.m. in the church and are led by Deacon David Raj, and are bilingual.
