PENDELTON — Fall Chinook fishing will be closed from the Hwy 730 bridge upstream to Threemile Dam in the Umatilla River from Sept. 22 through Nov. 30.

The closure reflects forecasts of a low return of fall Chinook and is intended to help fishery managers meet broodstock goals for hatchery fall Chinook.
