KLICKITAT CO. — The Klickitat-Lyle Against Substance Abuse Coalition (KLASAC) will be hosting two tech talks for parents, with a focus on skills and tools to support their children in using technology safely.
The talks are for parents with kids of all ages. They will learn about and discuss the pros and cons of technology, covering a range of topics from when and how to introduce technology to what to do if technology has become an issue.
“In this age of technology, it’s important for parents to understand the impacts of technology on mental health and to be prepared to support their children in healthy use of technology,” the poster for the event reads.
The first talk will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. March 19 at the Klickitat Community Center, located at 92 Main St. in Klickitat. The second will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 21 at the Lyle Activity Center, at 308 Klickitat St. in Lyle.
