HOOD RIVER — The Hood River County Library Foundation is thrilled to announce the success of three spring fundraising events that brought together library supporters from across the Gorge.

  • Boeing Women Inspiring Leadership (BWIL) Walkathon – March 26: The Hood River County Library Foundation was chosen as the 2025 beneficiary of Insitu’s chapter of Boeing Women Inspiring Leadership (BWIL)'s Annual Walk-a-thon in honor of Women's History Month. Proceeds from the event will help fund the Foundation’s ongoing programs and future initiatives.
  • Chef’s Collective Big Night Dinner at Celilo Restaurant – April 6: This exclusive dinner brought together five beloved local chefs — Ben Stenn (Celilo Restaurant), Aaron Baumhackl (Solstice Wood Fire Pizza), Lindsay Gott (Gateaux), John Helleberg (Ruby June Inn), and Kathy Watson — who joined forces to create a memorable evening in support of the Foundation. We are sincerely grateful for their remarkable talent and generosity. Special thanks also to Analemma Wines and pFriem Family Brewing for providing exceptional pairings that elevated the evening and contributed to its success.
  • 12th Annual Feast of Words — April 26: The foundation's signature gala fundraiser brought in vital support for a website rebuild and refresh, as well as the implementation of a new RFID system to improve the way patrons check out books. Guests enjoyed local food and drinks, live music from Funkship Columbia, exciting raffle drawings and live auction items.
