The 2024 Cruise The Gorge Weekend kicked off Aug. 9, starting with a cruise that passed the Oregon Veterans Home before the 7 p.m. Neon Cruise downtown The Dalles. Weekend festivities included the Show in the Shade car show held up at Sorosis Park on Saturday, ending with the parade of champions awards ceremony. The Elks/Eagles Cruise Nite, as well as the Neon Nights Alzheimer’s Awareness Benefit Concert at Lewis and Clark Festival Park, were both held later that evening. The festivities concluded with the Sunday morning Dufur Classic Car show held at Dufur City Park.
