If you pass by Jackson Park at 10 a.m. on July 31, do not panic; you are witnessing a large scale mass casualty drill for the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital emergency room team.

HOOD RIVER — Providence Hood River is holding a large-scale mass casualty drill for the emergency room team at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital at 10 a.m.  on July 31 at Jackson Park.

The scenario is a bus crash with adolescence. There will be volunteer children who will be made up with fake wounds, blood, etc. Emergency vehicles will transport the children to the emergency room to make it as real as possible, said Providence Director of Public Relations and Foundation Susan Frost.
