Nov. 5 General Election: Q&As, stories continue
THE GORGE — Local ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election will be mailed to registered voters in Oregon Oct. 16, and Oct. 18 in Washington. In this issue, Columbia Gorge News continues publication of responses to the Q&As sent to candidates in all contested races in Hood River, Wasco, Klickitat and Skamania counties. This concludes responses sent in by deadline, but should we receive any others, we will run them in upcoming editions through Oct. 30. For a compilation of all responses — and candidates in all races — visit columbiagorgenews.com.
Editor’s Note: The State Voters’ Pamphlet has begun arriving in Oregon mailboxes. Donald Trump’s campaign has chosen NOT to place a statement in the pamphlet. Those unhappy with this decision should contact their local or state Republican Party for more details on why it was made by his campaign; Hood River and Wasco county elections officials do not have authority or say in these decisions.
