Respite Care Open House — The Cherry Blossom Adult Day Program in The Dalles for people 55 and older with any kind of memory loss disease kicks off from 1-5 p.m. on Jan. 21. Learn how dementia-specific respite care can support you as a caregiver, meet other families navigating dementia care, and get resources and guidance from experts. Teacher of the Year nominations open — The Oregon Lottery has announced that the annual Oregon Regional Teacher of the Year nominations are open through Feb. 11. Regional Teachers of the Year will receive a cash prize of $1,000. The 2026-27 Oregon Teacher of the Year will receive a $10,000 cash prize (in addition to $5,000 going to their school), and serve as a spokesperson and representative for all Oregon teachers.
