THE GORGE — Gorge Grown Food Network joins farmers and organizers across the county in celebrating National Farmers Market Week from Aug. 3-9. Gorge residents are invited to join in on the fun with numerous opportunities to shop at local farmers markets this week. The Gorge is home to farmers markets in Hood River, White Salmon, Odell, Stevenson, The Dalles and Trout Lake. Gorge Grown Food Network and farmers market staff aim to ensure that groceries from the farmers market are more accessible to everyone in our community. All farmers markets accept SNAP EBT and offer incentive funds to customers shopping with SNAP (formerly known as food stamps).
