THE DALLES — Dan Spatz from The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Community Affairs meeting on July 30, featuring Rob Hall from the Energy Trust of Oregon.
Hall discussed the Energy Trust’s role in providing energy efficiency rebates for natural gas equipment, particularly for small businesses. He highlighted specific rebates for insulation, food service equipment, and gas-heated pools, emphasizing the importance of energy efficiency in reducing costs.
Tanya Brumley, NW Natural community affairs and contact manager for the Columbia Gorge region, mentioned an upcoming emergency preparedness event on Sept. 19.
Spatz also shared updates on One Community Health’s 40th anniversary celebration and the launch of their foundation; more information will appear in an upcoming edition. The meeting concluded with plans for future outreach and networking.
