THE GORGE — Polls close at 8 p.m. for Oregon’s Primary Election May 21; mailed ballots must be postmarked by 8 p.m. election day to be counted. Results on election night are preliminary.
An update including mailed ballots with postmarks on or before election day will be released May 28 by 5 p.m., and an update including resolved challenged ballots June 11, also by 5 p.m. Final results will be certified no later than June 17 by 5 p.m.
Hood River County reported voter turnout as of May 20 was 32.45% with 5,340 ballots received, and Wasco County 24.67% with 4,565 ballots received. Hood River County has 16,476 registered voters; Wasco County has 18,605.
