"Moments that Change Lives, Mentoring Photos and
Stories," a traveling photo exhibit offering unique reflections on mentoring, will be on display at Washington State University Vancouver during the month of November.
Developed by the Clark County Mentoring Roundtable to commemorate National Mentoring Month 2003, the project began with the question, "How can we inspire people to become mentors?"
The answer is this exhibit of photographs reflecting the stories of eight local youth and their mentors, said Anne Turner, volunteer for Clark County Mentoring Roundtable.
With cameras supplied by the Mentoring Roundtable and technical and creative guidance from volunteer photographers, the youth and their mentors produced photographs expressing how mentoring has changed their lives.
The photographs capture moments representing the mentoring experience, moments that change lives and speak to the power individuals have to make a difference through an intentional, positive and caring relationship, said Jessica Lightheart, communications coordinator at WSU Vancouver.
The Clark County Mentoring Roundtable hopes the show will inspire viewers to learn more about mentoring.
For more information, contact Lightheart at the Office of Campus Advancement, (360) 546-9602.
