Tabitha Ellen Orlando became the bride of Richard Runyon Colie on Sept. 5, 2008, at the Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast in Parkdale, Ore.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Sliwa, White Salmon. The groom is the son of Delavan and Stephanie Colie, Point Pleasant, N.J. Jacque Johnston performed the ceremony.
The bride wore an ivory colored, hand-beaded and embroidered tulle over silk gown by Robert Lazaro. It featured a scalloped neckline and beaded shoulder straps. It had a fluted, floor-length shirt and chapel train with a cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses, gardenias, and miniature calla lilies.
Lori Thiemann, the bride's best friend from high school, served as her honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Jenette Serrons, Wendy Webbins, Tifani Bluin and Chesua Patte. They wore grass-green gowns and carried bouquets of antique hydrangea.
Stuart Colie, the groom's brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Lucas Tomlinson, Chris Toff, and Mark Derbecker.
Ushers were Kate Ensor and Jesse Kiewit.
Andrielle Sliwa, the bride's cousin, and Claire Hayes were the flower girls. Buster, a yellow lab puppy belonging to the couple, was the ringbearer.
Mike Northcutt played guitar and Zeke of Ultimate Entertainment was the DJ.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Mt. Hood B&B.
The bride graduated from U.C. Santa Cruz with a degree in psychology and is communication director for Insitu.
The groom graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. After naval service, he came to Hood River and currently works for Insitu as project manager.
Following a honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple is now at home in Hood River.
