We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Kuhnhausen family for the loss of their mother and grandmother, Violet Kuhnhausen.
The annual Snowball dance was held on Saturday, Nov. 20, sponsored by the senior class. The court that reigned during the dance were Kayleigh King, Lupita Lopez, Josie Masden, Hannah Page, Ashley Woodward, Tanner Beeks, Zach Buckley, Tony Leiter, Trent Steinbach and Mitch Wheelhouse. During the dance, Ashley Woodward was crowned Snowball Queen and Trent Steinbach was Snowball King. Ray Lemley, Trent's uncle, was the DJ for the evening.
On Saturday, Nov. 13, Claire Alexander hosted guests at her home for dinner and an evening of viewing travel pictures. Claire shared with the group her experiences in Paris and London. She had spent last summer traveling with the Charles Hooper family.
The Klickitat County Fair's Volunteer Appreciation Night was held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the new American Legion building in Goldendale. A dinner, sponsored by Reno's Pizza, was served to 115 people. A magician, John Admidon, entertained the group. Special recognition was given to two volunteers who were named Volunteers of the Year for 2004. They were Margaret Throop for 27 years of service, 10 years as board secretary, service as department superintendent, general still life superintendent and numerous committees. The other was Rachael Hurst of Goldendale, who is serving as a board member, sheep department superintendent and numerous committees. Both of these individuals are continuing to serve as volunteers.
