On September 8, 2003, the following juveniles pled guilty to felony criminal charges in Klickitat County Superior Court:
A juvenile pled guilty to the charge of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's permission stemming from an incident that occurred in Goldendale on June 15, 2003. He was sentenced to 20 days in detention, 12 hours of community service and will be under the supervision of the Klickitat County Juvenile Department for 12 months.
A second juvenile also pled guilty to the charge of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's permission. This arose from an unrelated matter in Alderdale on June 5, 2003. The juvenile was sentenced to 15 days in detention and 48 hours of community service. She will be under the supervision of the juvenile department for 12 months.
A juvenile pled guilty to the charge of assault in the third degree based on an incident that occurred in Goldendale in April 2003. He successfully petitioned the court for a deferred disposition. He is required to complete 60 hours of community service and will be supervised by the juvenile department for 12 months.
On Sept. 11, 2003, a juvenile pled guilty to a charge of assault in the third degree stemming from an incident in Dallesport in March 2003. The juvenile petitioned the court for a deferred disposition and the motion was granted. He was sentenced to 136 hours of community service and 12 months of supervision.
If the juveniles successfully complete the terms of their deferred dispositions, they may withdraw their guilty pleas and the charges will be dismissed. If the deferred dispositions are not successfully completed, they may be revoked and the violating juvenile will be brought before the court for sentencing on the original charges.
