No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident which occurred on State Route 14 at milepost 94.8. The accident happened at approximately 11:27 a.m. on July 17, 2012.

According to the report, Eugene H. Walters, 49, Tigard, Ore., was driving his 2013 Kenworth truck with two trailers loaded with milk westbound on SR 14 approaching a cautionary 40 miles per hour corner. The semi crossed over the westbound fog line and overturned into a dirt embankment. The milk was lost.

Walters was cited for negligent driving.

Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on July 21, 2012, at approximately 11:52 a.m. The accident occurred on SR 14 at milepost 87.2, 20 miles east of Bingen.

According to the report, Marc R. Recker, 63, Benton City, was driving his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on SR 14 on the crest of a hill when he struck a deer. The motorcycle went down, blocking the westbound lane.

Recker suffered possible internal injuries and injuries to his arms and legs. He was taken by Life Flight to Peacehealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.

His passenger, Elfa V. Recker, 56, suffered injuries to her left elbow and left foot. She was taken to Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles.
