Obituary

Mr. Wang was born June 3, 1957, in Heidelberg, Germany to Willard P. and Mary (Ragan) Wang of Bingen. He attended the Bingen Elementary School and graduated from Columbia High School in 1975. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. Army, where he served with Co. A 2nd Battalion, 60th Infantry at Fort Lewis for four years. After the army, he returned to Bingen where he married and had one daughter.

Mr. Wang worked for Dickey Farms for a number of years and was a member of the Bingen Volunteer Fire Department. He also served as a firefighter with the Walla Walla County Fire District #4.

He loved to collect John Wayne memorabilia and write poetry.

Mr. Wang is survived by his daughter Elaine Mary Wang, Okanogan; brothers Jerry, Portland, Billy, Goldendale, Phillip, Umatilla, Ore., and Tommy, Bingen; sister Shirlene, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Mr. Wang and potluck will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at the Mountain View Grange Hall in White Salmon at 1 p.m.
